This review is for Laura Mercier Exfoliating Body Wash, which, as a Vine reviewer, I received without paying the $52 retail price. This is the same price as noted on the Laura Mercier website, and I just don’t pay that much for soap and cosmetics, so I was happy to try it out. I chose the almond and coconut and was surprised that it came out of the tube brown instead of clear or white, but considering that it seems to have ground up almond or coconut shells in it, I guess that’s to be expected. Also, I would call it a “scrub” instead of body wash. It’s just about the same consistency as toothpaste. I think of body wash as a liquid soap, but this was not a liquid and did not lather up like soap. It does have a nice, light clean fragrance. I am enjoying using it as a hand scrub instead of body wash. After I wash my hands they are so soft and the dry skin around my nails is buffed off and the area seems very hydrated. If you are a Laura Mercier customer, the price point won’t surprise you and you will be pleased with this as a scrub. It would also make an elegant gift for a discriminating friend. It’s not really for me, but I’m giving it 5 stars because it’s exactly as advertised and I’m really enjoying using it.
